1. Equipment Operator Training: Workers should be thoroughly trained on the proper safety procedures to operate heavy machinery. 7. Keep The Area Clear: To keep people from coming in close proximity of the operating machine, place barriers around it. Use radio and hand signals to communicate with co-workers especially in the areas that are not in your direct sight i.e. when backing up.
